So posters for the new Tom Cruise movie Valkyrie (which has been pushed back like, 7 times) have just come out, and we gotta say, adding a lame picture to a weird title is definately not the way to get people interested in this flick.
What does this poster say to you?
(Besides “Tom Cruise and a bunch of old white dudes are gonna be in a long and serious movie that is based on a true story so it will also probably be boring but Tom Cruise is a CELEBRITY and the MAIN CHARACTER so you’ll sit through it regardless.”)
We already came up with that one.

If this is anything like Vanilla Sky I will kill someone. Seriosuly, that was 3 hours of prime drinking time that I will NEVER GET BACK.
just because you’re ignorant, doesn’t mean it’s a dull movie. it’s about a plot to assassinate hitler whereas vanilla sky was probably written by somebody tripping on acid…
besides, i don’t think their targeted audience is a blog [that i enjoy] that focuses its attention on makeup, american apparel, and ‘roadhead’. just a guess.
I second what snarktastic said.
I sometimes think I read this blog just to see what snarktastic has to say. Always bringing it back to reality by exposing the fallacy, i.e. “I don’t like Tom Cruise, based on his media portrayal, therefore any movie that he’s in must be a bad one.”
Snark and Stephanie,
Humor is everywhere. We’re sorry our humor is not yours…but calling our writers ignorant and telling them that they suck is really just making you look odd for hating what you seem to read on a daily basis.
And for the record: Tom Cruise + an eye patch + a German accent is probably going to = boring and weird. Even IF it’s about one of History’s most interesting time periods.
ALSO: do not think we cannot tell when the same person posts as two different people. We are magic that way.
i’m not stephanie.
i do actually enjoy some of your posts. also, it’s fun taunting you people and reminding myself of my intellectual superiority.
i’m an ass, i get it.
at least Snark realizes they come off like an ass.
Half the battle, I suppose.
Plus that godawful tagline. It makes it sound like the ‘many’ referred to in the first line all tried to stop evil.
Just the fact that its from the director of The Usual Suspects makes it worth watching…fanfuckingtastic movie.
The poster is a little rediculous, but I imagine whoever did the poster art didn’t have much to do with the writing, editing, or directing of the film.
