It’s fall, and that means Hollywood starts caring about the movies again.
Traditionally, summer is full of blockbusters that are low on the good scale and high on the explosion scale, while fall marks the beginning of smaller, better made, Oscar contenders.
I don’t know if this one’s going to get any Oscars, but considering the star was nominated for an Academy Award last year and is the current love of my life, I’d say it’ll certainly develop some buzz—especially because the plot is so weird.
Lars and the Real Girl, starring Ryan Gosling (still looking hot despite the 70’s mustache) is about a loner in a small town who shuns human interaction until he receives a package that changes everything. Bianca is a life size doll—to everyone except Lars. To Lars, she’s the love of his life.
I’ll mark my calendar for a quirky, original indie film any day…but honestly, Ryan could be in a three-hour epic about the phone book and I’d still watch.

The weird thing is, is that i just posted this archive i found on my facebook http://feministing.com/archives/007346.html it’s a little disterbing…but it is a documentry on these so called “real dolls” very sad, depicting men who feel they are unable to approach women or feel that women could not love them the way these dalls love them, one thing i found interesting was when one man talking about wanting sex at 3 am he could just gab the doll and do her, no questions ask, something he said could never happen with a real women, because with women you have to wake them up, ask them for sex and thenworry about them saying no.
Check it out!, It;s a lil hard to take al at once and it’s about 40 mins, but do try to watch the entire thing so that your opinion wont be limited.
