Come Play with Newmindspace!

Every now and then, I get moments where I sit outside, watch kids run around and play, and really miss my childhood. Life was so much easier back then, filled with juice boxes and random presents from Grandma and books that had pictures in them. But best of all, I got to play.

Now, between school, family, and some semblance of a personal life, I really don’t have the time to play. And even if I did, wouldn’t it look kind of silly for a 20-year-old woman to be squealing “weee!” as she tumbles down the slide in the park?

Not if it’s a Newmindspace PlayDay, I won’t!

Newmindspace is an organization that was started up back in 2005 by Lori Kufner and Kevin Bracken. They set up all kinds of awesome things like parties in subway cars, games of Capture the Flag right on top of city streets, and even epic pillow battles.

The point of all this insanity? Well, that should be pretty obvious. When we spend all that time couped up in cubicles or hunched over textbooks, the world stops being fun and interesting and starts being boring and depressing. Newmindspace gives people in big cities like New York and Toronto the opportunity to do something that no one should ever stop doing: play. It’s an awesome idea. Not only do you get you get to just mess around for a little while, you also meet a ton of people.

As for me? I’ll see you guys at the next bubble fight.
