How many times have you been walking down the street with a girl friend only to have some guy scream, “MAKEOUT!!!”? How many times have you been minding your own business when you see 2 girls making out at the bar for attention?How many times have you wondered why guys are so obsessed with the idea of 2 girls making out?
I know that guys tend to let their peens do all the thinking, but I still just never understand why guys are so willing to do just about anything if a girl will kiss another girl. What is the point? How does that benefit the guy? Why don’t they just try to kiss the girl themselves?! I turned to my favorite male to give me the answers.

It’s not a girl on girl free for all. Girl on Girl is reserved only for the good-looking. Ask any guy. He’ll tell you.

I don’t quite understand it. I wouldn’t stoop myself to that level just for a few free drinks. The kinds of guys that ask girls to do such things aren’t the ones I’d like to entertain.
ok im completely 100% straight i love boys but if im drunk enough i makeout with my girl friends like its fun and its hot lol. idk i dont think theres anything wrong with it. if a guy gave me a shot to do it, why not? as long as its a pretty friend, im down
Just out of curiosity (and nothing like this ever happened to me before) if one of the girls has a boyfriend, and he doesn’t know that she does this, is it cheating? It’s pretty much along the lines as guys who do stuff with other girls but claim “she (the other girl) didn’t mean anything”, isn’t it REALLY the same thing? I get that she’s ’straight’ and won’t leave you (boyfriend), but she’s still getting physical pleasure outside the relationship no? Does that make it free for the boyfriend to go and make out with another girl (or guy whatever way you want to swing this) and say, “relax it was just for fun, I was drunk, we had a good time, stop being a prude”. Yes I realize this would excite most guys, but isn’t fair is fair also in play? Why does she get to go and receive pleasure from others, while he does not?
No i wouldnt consider it cheating, if a guy kissed another girl that would be cheating. idk i guess its a double standard kind of thing but i think that alot of people would agree that its not cheating its just a good time between two friends.
im not gay, but i always kind of felt like the male obsession with girl-on-girl action kind of demoralized women who were actually lesbians. like ive heard guys make comments like, “lesbians are gross, but two hot chicks are awesome” and i always thought it was just awful, as comments as such imply that lesbians aren’t acceptable unless their sex acts can be used for male pleasure. interesting to see the article also pointed out this rather prejudiced phenomenon.
Is all good up until the girls start to get really interested in each other. Guys are funny. They think we do these things to amuse them when in reality, a bunch of us so-called “straight” girls love kissing other attractive women. As soon as two females show too much interest in each other, the guy freaks out and pulls a jealousy trip. Exactly what they deserve for being such complete asshats. Guys only like two girls kissing when they have zero emotional investment.
Guys want to watch two hot girls make out in front of them because it’s like having porn on, but better. Guys are incredibly visually stimulated in ways that most women are not. Gay guys are the same way about other men. It’s just a guy thing. I don’t think most (straight) guys think about whether the women are really lesbians or not, because they are overwhelmed by the awesomeness of the visual experience (and partially the taboo of it), and don’t care why it’s happening. Hence, they will do dumb things to get it to happen.
And because women are much more likely to express their sexuality when their inhibitions are lowered by alcohol, the formula in the simple-minded guy’s header is such: chicks + shots = live porn. If the women are too into it, then the guy is no longer important and he would be threatened. But any girl who makes out with her friend in exchange for alcohol is 99% likely to be a straight girl trying to impress the boys, and 1% likely to be an alcoholic lesbian. Or, a lesbian who likes straight girls. But real, out lesbians rarely hang out with a bunch of straight boys in a bar.
And, let’s face facts while we’re at it, it’s a whole lot more socially acceptable for two women to kiss in public than it is for two guys. If two guys were kissing in many straight bars, there would be some problems from some homophobic straight boys.
But back to the original point — for us straight guys, watching two women that we find attractive making out with each other is a beautiful, erotic experience. And I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that, it’s just a fact of life.

What you also have to realize is that you’re looking at only one type of guy, the douche-bag that goes to a bar to get trashed and try to pick up “chicks”, the a*shole that really does only have sex on his mind and will probably still be in that same bar when he’s in his mid forties acting like he’s still twenty one… and saying that all guys are like that.
It’s kind of like going to Africa, seeing a lion and thinking that all animals in Africa are lions. There are guys out there that think girl on girl is just retarded but you’re less likely to notice them because they aren’t drawing attention to themselves screaming “Makeout”.
