The Best Birth Control Ever?

lady compWhat if I told you that you never needed to worry about getting knocked up ever again?

And, what if I told you it involved no pills, shots, or weird, granola-hippie “herbal” treatments?

Well ladies, it’s certainly a possibilty…and while it sounds like a dream come true for those of us held prisoner by Tic-Tac-sized pills, I’m not entirely convinced that I can get down while free and clear of all worry. What is this magical device?

Meet the Lady Comp, the one thing on Earth you’ll have to trust more than God. That is, if you dont want mini-me’s running all over the place. It works by recording your temperature upon waking up in the morning, and from the readings, will detect whether or not you are ovulating. Green = go. Red = YOU’LL GET PREGNANT!! DON’T DO IT!!

It sounds incredible. No more bloating, loss of sex drive (which defeats the purpose of BC), acne, and the other millions of side effects birth control usually boasts. But isn’t this esentially the Rhythm Method?

I mean, there is science to back up the claims that you’re internal body temperature rises when you’re ovulating, but I can just hear the voice of the school nurse, my doctor…and yes, my mother telling me I’m crazy for even considering this all-natural, all-faith option.

But like most things that are natural and free of body-harming chemicals, it’s not available in the U.S.. Damn.

Looks like I’ll have to play it (really) safe until Lady Comp goes mainstream.

Ok I just researched this but I have a ton of questions.

It might measure your body tempurature, but what happens if you are sick and do not know it? or get sick after you take your temperature?

It may be true our body tempuratures rise, but what if it was super hot or super cold in your house/apartment during the night? would that have some affect on your body temperature?

It just sounds like a scam and/or a cash grab. if this thing is so great they should really be putting it forward and getting studies done on it and percentage rate for success and failure.

It just sounds to me like the woman would be taking a huge risk if she relied on this.

psst! order it online like i did! i’ve used it for about 8 months now, child-free (and not even expecting, you smartasses in the audience).

really, i could not speak more highly of this thing. it’s a fabulous toy, and a real tool. to the women concerned about not having sex when ovulating, that’s when you use a condom. personally, i’m pleased that i don’t have to take a pill every single day when i’m only fertile for a few of them. at this point i’ve almost recouped what i would have spent on birth control pills anyway!

I bought the Lady Comp over the summer (online as well).
So far it seems to be working, but I still haven’t gotten over the crazy paranoid ‘am I or am I not?’ attacks before my period is supposed to come.
So b, if you’re out there… is all still going good?
