Recappin\' The Hills...

So, I was gone for a few weeks and
missed out on a lot of Hills recapping.
I was so excited to get back into it…
until I actually watched tonight’s totally
sucky episode. Like most episodes of
The Hills, nothing really happened. In
fact, the entire show can be broken
down into two sentences:
Lauren and Audrina make up.
Spencer acts like a douche in
front of his Nana. Read More...

Erin Fetherston Next to Invade Target’s Go Int’l.

erin fetherstonBig news!!!

Good old Target has done it again. Another hot designer is gracing the GO International line with her talent (not to mention, concern for us budget-stricken college girls): Erin Fetherston. Thanks to Glamour editor Ashley Baker at Glamour.com, the word is out.

As the announcement is extremely recent, samples of the designs have not yet leaked their way to the public.

Based on the young designers previous collections, the pieces for Go International may bear resemblance to Fetherston’s couture designs — oh la la.

Her signature style consists of dreamy dresses in silky/rich materials with a very feminine flare.

Compared to the tackiness of the Libertine collection that Lauren highlighted , it looks like Fetherston’s girly touch may be exactly what Target needs to redeem themselves.

I cannot wait to pound down those red doors, once her line hits the racks.

Libertine for Target is Totally FUGLY

For designers whose line has been hailed by the likes of Karl Lagerfeld of Chanel fame, I expected more. Instead, the new sneak peak of the Libertine for Target line left my eyes bleeding and a little bit of throw-up in my mouth. The psychedelic patterns reminded me too much of Austin Powers and the prep-meets-punk look they were going for ended up looking more like the wardrobe of a Nantucket mother with a bit of misplaced rage.

Sadly, there are only a few pieces I don’t despise. The striped shirt dress is cute as is the tree screen printed tee. For the most part, it really seems like the only few things the Libertine duo got right were the basics: a black skirt, a black dress, a white blouse. And for designers whose “uniquely aggressive aesthetic” (read: fashion forward look) was what set them apart for the rest, this gag-worthy clothing collection neither says unique—or aggressive—to me.

What do you think about the new Libertine for Target collection?
