I love Kanye West. Yes, even when he gets all cocky and “I’m the greatest in the mother effing world!” I also happen to be ob-sessed with his new song, Love Lockdown. I downloaded it on iTunes 2 weeks ago and already have 189 plays (I have a problem).
Yesterday, Kanye went on the Ellen Degeneres show to debut his video for the song (what ever happened to MTV, people?) and it is…weird. Like, really weird. Like, I think I need to be one some sort of mushroom/trippy drug to understand what is going on, weird.
Not that it makes the song any less awesome. Watch and judge for yourself.

Just because I don’t drink doesn’t mean I am averse to putting alcoholic substances in the foods I eat. Surely one of the best French dishes on Earth is coq au vin, made with tender chicken and savory mushrooms and the most wonderful red wine sauce ever…But I’m getting a little ahead of myself. If you’re thinking that coq au vin sounds like the perfect thing to make for a romantic dinner, you’re right. If you want to make it the authentic French way, though, you might be marinating chicken and letting spices simmer and flavors develop for literally hours—if not days—on end. Trust me, you can get results that are very nearly as good just by using your slow cooker.
My boyfriend is from Calcutta, and I love the food of his homeland. Fresh vegetables, creamy desserts, spiced curries… I can’t get enough, but unfortunately I don’t really know how to make the stuff.
