Is Sarcasm Unfeminine???
Recently I came across this article entitled
“Sarcasm is Unfeminine”. I wondered if this is
really how men feel? Do guys find women who
are sarcastic unattractive?

Is sarcasm the unibrow of a woman’s
personality (hence the photo)?

Music Bite: Mandy Moore, *More* Than a Pop Princess

823_mandy.jpgEvery once in a while, I’ll hear a song, and I’ll think to myself, Christ. This song is beautiful. Who sings it?

And then I find out Mandy Moore sings it. And it takes me a second to not freak out, because, like, I don’t usually turn to Mandy Moore when I want music that actually means something. But you know what? The chick has got some serious skills.

She’s grown up. Broken up (with Zack Braff. Me thinks she’s better off now), ripped away her computerized vocals, and poured her heart out to a piano.

Gardenia is off her newest album, Wild Hope. And even though the title seems just a bit cheesy, this song is anything but. If you’ve ever had to pick yourself up from the floor after a hideous break-up, Gardenia is your anthem.

Britney Spears: How Did She Lose It All?

britney_spears_shaving-hair-bald.jpgBritney Spears has made the cover of Rolling Stone again, but this time it’s for all of the wrong reasons. Previous cover shots were done in full color, putting her entire body on display. This one is a somber black and white face close up and on her cheek it says, “Britney Spears: Inside an American Tragedy.”

As a member of her dwindling fan base, I can actually handle reading the constant stream of train wreck Britney Spears news. Because it’s not the words that bother me. What I cannot handle are the pictures that accompany the stories. When I read something particularly bad, I go back to the old photographs. The Rolling Stone covers. The MTV Video Music Award performances.

Anything to blot out the images of her out clubbing, crying, half naked, bald, pink wigged, going to rehab, going to court, naked and crying again.

When she burst onto the music scene in 1999, I so fiercely wanted to look like her. I stared at her pictures, her perfect abs, her long blonde hair. It didn’t matter that the hair wasn’t naturally blonde, that the pictures were posed and retouched, that it took hours upon hours and some plastic surgery to build that body; I was mesmerized. I didn’t listen to the music so much, but the music was secondary when it came to my love for Britney. I couldn’t get enough of seeing her and I wasn’t alone. Read More »

Oops, She Did It Again

0721991330_britneyhair2501.jpgPoor Britney.

I have seen her go from beautiful pop princess to the bald girl in rehab (for the 2nd time).

I really thought it couldn’t get any worse for this her, but I was wrong.

A security camera at a Manhattan nightclub, has caught Brit stripping and possibly engaging in some other “acts” with two dancers. This videotape is being bid on no by various outlets and the asking price is about $150,000. According to the New York Daily News report, supposedly what Miss Spears is doing on this tape can be enough to have her children taken away from her! Not good Brit, not good. I wish her the best to a full recovery! I want the old Brit back.

Which is your favorite Britney?
