Is Sarcasm Unfeminine???
Recently I came across this article entitled
“Sarcasm is Unfeminine”. I wondered if this is
really how men feel? Do guys find women who
are sarcastic unattractive?

Is sarcasm the unibrow of a woman’s
personality (hence the photo)?

The Pissed List:Killer Clouds, Angry Gov.’s and Drunken Lip Synching

rolcs_groupuniform_2.jpg

[I like to think of myself as a pretty easy going gal, and try not to sweat the small stuff. But sometimes (ok, maybe slightly more often) the general cluelessness, carelessness and overall stupididty of some things and or/people really gets to me. I find that venting is the most efficient way to rid myself of the stress that idiots, wrong meal orders, lack of cell phone ettiquette and cheese flavored products (that don’t even contain any freaking cheese!) induce.

So, in an attempt to avoid an ulcer or an unfortuante road rage incident I vent to you, dear reader. Please feel free to join in and comment about anything–really, anything–that pissed. you. off. this week. Did your roommate leave dirty dishes all over your kitchen? Did your 8 am professor ‘forget’ to tell you class was cancelled? Did some girl on her cell with bad high-lights and tacky bumper stickers that say “angel” and other clever things cut you off today? Let it all hang out. I feel you.] Read More »

Welcome Back, TV!

Happy Tuesday! No, I am normally not this chipper on a Tuesday morning, even if it is warmer than yesterday’s one degree. Yes, one. In fact, I’m was still feeling rather crabby and I-Hate-This-Cruel-Cold-World for the first few hours of my day (having broken a nail while trying to open my car door that was frozen shut), until I began sipping on my third cup of coffee and reading this.

Check out that loooong list of shows that will be coming back now that the writers have returned to work. Granted, they really didn’t get everything they want and will probably be doing this whole strike thing again in 3 years, but being an American, I am all about the here and now. And here and now is looking quite good with our favorite shows coming back to TV. Read More »

Murder Unscripted: Law and Order Style

As evidenced by the disgusting amount of re-runs and sh*tty reality shows (well, except for Supernanny. Kids making their parents cry will always be entertainment to me) the writer’s strike is still going strong. While individual companies are attempting to make deals, the cooperate conglomerate as a whole are still being greedy little bitches, their obsession with the Benjamins creating TV havoc for the rest of us.

Even though many of the writers involved in the strike are losing thousands of dollars a week, they still seem to have a sense of humor about the whole thing. This sense of humor provides countless hours of YouTube fun, including a gem entitled “Murder Unscripted”.

Who knew B.D Wong could be hilarious?

Stop the Writers Strike! I Don’t Want to Study!

tina fey writers strikeThursday night rolls around and being ready in time for the nightly festivitives of beer pong and flip cup requires that you skip your weekly date with the doctors of Seattle Grace.

No big deal, now that you can catch it on abc.com tommorrow right?

Well, to the Writers Guild (those in charge of writing every show you watch on TV) it’s more than a big deal.

So much so that today the writers decided to do something about it… picket signs, matching t-shirts, megaphones and all that hullabaloo- everyone loves a strike!

How does this affect you? Here’s the breakdown:

The Writers Guild (all 12,000 of them) feels they deserve residual payments for movies and TV shows viewed on the internet. Why shouldn’t they get a portion of the profit now that you can watch their work on the internet post walk of shame?

Yet the producers claim that the new media is still too new to figure out a way to compenstate their writers.

So what exactly does this mean for all of us die-hard TV watchers? Read More »
